Meet a dedicated senior at Texas State University, who is currently navigating the dynamic landscape of journalism and mass communications while pursuing a degree in Digital Media Innovation. With over a decade of experience in managerial positions, I, as an individual embody the essence of determination and the desire to innovate in the digital realm. Originally aspiring to be a journalist, my early love for storytelling through poetry and short stories ignited a flame of creativity that, unfortunately, dimmed under the conventional rigors of academia. Despite achieving an associate degree in Business Administration and excelling in that environment, a lingering sense of dissatisfaction persisted. It wasn’t until a necessary career pause in 2022 that the path to rediscovery began—prompted by the insightful guidance of a vocational rehabilitation counselor and the O*NET Interest Profiler test, which rekindled their creative spirit. Now, armed with newfound skills and knowledge from courses in advanced social media analytics, graphic design, and digital marketing, I feel equipped to delve back into the realm of storytelling, armed with the tools needed to captivate audiences in the digital age.
